I have discovered the lawyer's "Blog-Work Theory". The number of entries I have on this blog is inversely proportional to the amount of work I have in the office. Since I have not posted since November, you can tell the office work has been tough. I'm running 18 hour days, travelling to Central Luzon and Mindanao in a week on top of a daily grind of an average of three meetings a day. It has always been like this every December. Last year, my driver suffered a stroke after going through a gruelling December day. He is still alive, but I had to let him go take a less strenous office job somewhere. December is a hazardous month for a lawyer and his staff, just as it is for this blog.
Lest we get buried by more work, let this blogger go for one final blow:
Merry Christmas everybody!

Merry Christmas Cath and Bayibhiyap! Here's to another wonderful year of blogging!
Dear sir
Greetings and merry xmas.
i have a legal query that concerns us bloggers and net surfers. I wish you could answer and help me resolve this issue.
QUESTION : Who owns our email letters? Is it different from the usual snail-mail letter we send?
For some reason, i could not locate my Civil Code handbook. In my previous readings, anyone who divulse the letter of the sender without any permission is a quasi-offense.
Despite, liner notes declaring that that the receiver has the right to use the content of email letters sent, does this override the civil law provisions?
Please clarify this to me counsel, for this issue may be the future of many cases involving the internet in the years ahead.
Happy New Year to you! It was a pleasure having met you in person last night. Buti na lang nagkaron ka ng time, ano?
Hi attorney!
happy, happy new year! don't worry about not being able to write...the last thing you want is to lose some accounts due to blogging :) have a fruitful year ahead! cheers!
Happy New Year Tito Rolly, Joyce! The pinoyblog party was great! I actually planned to go but I didn't confirm I was coming because there was a chance I could miss it. But it was really great seeing you all.
Happy new year Babhiyap! he he hulaan mo na lang kung alin ako doon.
Sorry Mr. Daily Prophet. As a matter of ethics, I don't give legal advice through this site. I am a lawyer in the offline world. But online, I'm a blogger who just happens to be a lawyer. Please understand. One of these days, there will be a Supreme Case questioning the legality of putting up websites for law firms and lawyers in the Philippines in connection with the prohibition on the advertisement of lawyer services. I'd rather err on the side of caution, so to speak. Thank you for your comments.
